THEIR FUTURE

ONE PLAN FRAMEWORK

Confident Choices is the evolving One Plan framework for supporting and encouraging high-quality careers programmes in Lincolnshire schools, colleges and other educational settings.

CO-ORDINATED SUPPORT

Careers provision has never been more important. There is a growing need for more coordinated local support for Careers Leaders. Confident Choices has been designed to ensure this.

PARTNERSHIP

Key public and private sector partners have come together to develop a framework for supporting high quality careers education, information, advice and guidance. We recognise that schools and other education settings have the responsibility to implement the careers programme, but also that schools need proper, coordinated support to do this.

PURPOSE

The framework will support schools, colleges and other educational settings to ensure:

Young people have the confidence and information to make the best possible course, training and careers choices

That all students enter employment with training or further/higher education

AIMS

The framework will support schools, colleges and other educational settings to ensure:

Lincolnshire will develop a more highly skilled workforce

Young people of Lincolnshire will be better equipped to work in an increasingly automated and digital world

Employers in Lincolnshire will have a larger pool of young talent to recruit from, particularly to fill technical roles

There will be progression of a more diverse student body to Further and Higher Education and higher-level careers
